Children's Liturgy of the Word
and Sunday Pre-School

(Sunday children's programs will resume on Sunday, July 13)

New children, age 3 through grade 1,
are welcome to join us during 11 AM Mass for prayer and sharing about the Jesus we meet in each Sunday's gospel.  Parents call for children at their Parish Center classrooms after Mass.
If you are new in the parish, we suggest you come to the Parish Center at 10:45 AM to meet the Pre-School catechists,
introduce your child to the surroundings, and register.  Parents are encouraged to
come with the child to the first Sunday's session to be familiar
with the process and help the child feel at ease.

Children, grades 2 through 5, celebrate the Liturgy of the Word
with their peers.  They and their leaders are blessed and dismissed
after the opening prayers of the 11 AM liturgy and retire to O'Mallley Hall
(lower level of the church) to listen to the Word from the children's lectionary, reflect on it in their lives and discover more about who Jesus is.
They return to join the full assembly after the homily
and participate in the Liturgy of Eucharist with the whole community.
Parents are welcome and encouraged to accompany a child
for the first visit to Children's Liturgy of the Word
to become familiar with the process and assure the child's comfort
in a new and unfamiliar setting.
